7K a year 18 hours ago 18 hours ago 18 hours ago Duties and Responsibilities Ensure correct releases of blanket order items to the plant Purchase plant specific MRO items and factory supplies Analyze and review plant purchasing to ensure selection of best value vendors Direct the activities of the plant inventory Track inventory turns and consolidate inventory as required striving for continuous improvement Communicate inventory related issues and problems to Corporate Accounting in a timely manner Responsible for internal ordering of parts from Streetsboro Responsible for review and disposition of non-conforming materials from vendors Ensure timely reporting of material substitutions Communicate material supply problems and vendor issues to Corporate Purchasing Manager in a timely manner Participate in weekly Materials Management conference calls Assist Plant General Manager with any other duties or responsibilities as required
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent is required; Bachelor's degree in logistics or related field preferred 2-5 years of experience in a manufacturing setting preferably in metal manufacturing Understanding of Supply Chain and inventory tracking systems Ability to collaborate with multiple stakeholders internally and externally Excellent written and verbal communication skills required Proficient in MS Office; Excel, Word, PowerPoint Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving abilities Knowledge of an inventory system is required; Oracle experience is preferred We offer a commensurate compensation plan based on skills and experience and a comprehensive benefits plan that includes:
